Malawi’s Vice President, Justice Dr. Jane Ansah, has called on Malawians to keep their leaders in constant prayer so they may guide the nation with wisdom, humility, and divine grace.
Ansah made the heartfelt appeal during her 70th birthday celebration at Christ-Citadel International Church in Lilongwe — a joyful gathering that brought together family members, friends, church leaders, and government officials.
The celebration was not just about marking another year of life, but also about reflecting on faith, service, and the power of gratitude.
In her thanksgiving message,Ansah reminded Malawians that leadership is more than a position — it’s a divine calling that requires dedication, prayer, and humility.
> “This day reminds us to be grateful to God for His grace and protection. Every leader needs spiritual strength, and every citizen must take part through continuous prayer and faith,” she said.
The Vice President also took a moment to appreciate President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika for entrusting her with the opportunity to serve as his deputy.
She described him as a visionary leader who believes in empowering others to serve the nation with integrity.
> “I urge all Malawians to continue praying for our President so that he may lead this nation with God’s wisdom, guidance, and understanding,” Dr. Ansah added.
The celebration ended with moments of praise, worship, and reflection — a fitting tribute to a woman whose journey continues to inspire faith and service among many.
