The ceremony, filled with worship songs, ululation, and prayer, saw the faithful take their vows to serve as Abambo a Mpingowu and Amayi a Mvano, marking a major milestone for the growing congregation.
Leading the ordination, Reverend Austin Mututhe challenged the newly commissioned servants to become torchbearers of the gospel and agents of love within their families and communities. He emphasized that Malawi can only prosper when its people are rooted in faith and compassion.
“When we lead with love and stand firm in the Word, our nation will see transformation in families, churches, and communities,” said Rev. Mututhe.
Among the newly ordained was Mrs. Edah Kalulu Mlekele, who pledged total dedication to serving God and humanity. She said her focus will be on works of mercy and supporting those in need.
“My calling is to serve with humility and compassion. I want to be the hands and feet of Christ in my community,” she said.
Also ordained was Mr. James Milanzi, who encouraged men to rise and take active leadership roles in evangelism and church development.
“It’s time for men to stand at the frontlines of faith to lead, to teach, and to inspire,” he added.
The event attracted notable figures from the church, including Ken Ndanga and Jayne Mandeule, who were among those commissioned.
The atmosphere at Mawira CCAP was electric filled with music, testimonies and a spirit of unity. The ordination not only strengthened the church’s leadership base but also reinforced its mission to spread hope, love and faith across communities in Machinga and beyond.
As the new servants step into ministry, the message was clear faith is not just a belief, but a calling to serve.
