The 52nd session of Malawi Parliament is scheduled to commence on Monday, 18 October 2025, beginning with the registration of all Members of Parliament-elect, followed by orientation and the swearing-in of legislators in the chamber.
According to a statement issued on Friday by Parliament Clerk Fiona Kalemba, the orientation will take place at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe from 20 to 24 October 2025.
The statement also indicates that Members of Parliament are expected to elect a new Speaker of the National Assembly on 29 October 2025.
President Peter Mutharika is expected to officially open the 52nd session of Parliament on 31 October 2025.
The parliamentary session is anticipated to conclude in November.
