Mighty Wanderers head coach, Bob Mpinganjira, says his side is not expecting an easy encounter when they face Songwe Border United in a TNM Super League fixture scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Mpinganjira said despite Songwe Border United sitting at the bottom of the league table, his team will not underestimate them.
“There are no easy games in football. Every team comes prepared and Songwe have shown improvement in recent matches. We know they will come here with one goal to get a positive result so we need to be focused and play our best football,” said Mpinganjira.
The coach further acknowledged that Songwe Border United have become a more organized side in recent weeks and their trip from Karonga to Blantyre shows determination and hunger to perform better.
However, Mpinganjira confirmed that Wisdom Mpinganjira will miss the match due to injury, ruling him out of both the Songwe Border clash and the much-anticipated Blantyre Derby against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the FDH Bank Cup scheduled for Sunday.
The Nomads, currently pushing to close the gap on league leaders, will be hoping to collect maximum points as they continue their title chase.
