United Democratic Front (UDF) president Atupele Muluzi says the inauguration of Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has come at a critical moment when African countries are focusing on industrialisation and long-term economic growth.
Muluzi attended the inauguration ceremony held at Kololo Independence Grounds on Tuesday in his role as Vice-President and Head of the Africa Industries Committee for the Pan African Business Forum (PABF).
During the event, Muluzi interacted with African leaders, policymakers, and development stakeholders on matters affecting Africa’s economic future and the continent’s position in the changing global economy.
He noted that discussions among African leaders are now heavily centred on energy transformation, investment opportunities, critical minerals, regional cooperation, and sustainable development.
According to Muluzi, stronger partnerships among African nations will play a key role in unlocking economic progress across the continent.
He further reaffirmed PABF’s commitment to encouraging dialogue, cooperation and policies aimed at accelerating Africa’s development agenda.
